Details of Zack's wedding!

Blog: Zack and Rachel’s Wedding

            Hey there BFFs!

As many of you know about two weeks ago, on October 3rd, Marianne’s son, and BFCs manager, got MARRIED!!! That’s right Zack is no longer a single man. Unfortunately, Zack and his wife, Rachel were only allowed to have 50 guests so we couldn’t invite all of our BFFs from the store but don’t worry I’m here to fill you in on all the details so you’ll feel like you were there.

The start of the day was bright and early, for Rachel at least. The girl’s started getting ready at 7:45am!! They got their hair and makeup professionally done and they all looked so gorgeous in their outfits. The bridesmaids wore a burgundy two-piece halter top and pant set, with pockets. The mother-of-the-bride wore a stunning navy illusion style halter, floor length dress, with a little bit (well a lot) of sparkle adornments. The mother-of-the-groom (aka Marianne) wore a beautiful mocha, sleeveless embroidered lace and tulle gown, curved v-neckline and back, delicate beaded bodice, natural waistline, a-line skirt. And last, but certainly not least, the bride, Rachel wore a picturesque high neck, sleeveless gown. Her dress fit her style perfectly with a guipure lace bodice and an adorned tulle train.

The men on the other hand started their day off much later, having a barbeque lunch, lots of laughs, and finally getting dressed at around noon. The groomsmen all wore a navy suit with a burgundy tie that matched the ladies sets. The fathers of the bride and groom both wore a navy suit with a matching navy tie. And Zack wore a navy suit like his groomsmen however his tie was a slightly deep burgundy with a burgundy paisley print. All the men wore cognac colored dress shoes and none of them got their hair or makeup done professionally.

The venue, too, was just as beautiful as its patrons. It was an outdoor wedding on a hill at The Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton, IL. Zack and Rachel stood under a floral and chiffon draped arch. When Rachel walked down the aisle there wasn’t a dry eye in the “room”, she was gorgeous and everyone could tell that Zack felt like the luckiest man in the world. Zack and Rachel wrote each other vows that were so personal and special depicting their love for each other and both ended with “I love you to undiscovered planets and back.”

Following the ceremony, we all went down the hill to the reception hall. The hall, which also happened to be what I would describe as a classy barn, was decorated simplistic but elegant. It had a very personal feel with dim lighting, fairy lights, and floral and greenery for décor. The reception brought more tears in the way of speeches, given by the fathers of the bride and groom, the best man, Noah (Zack’s brother), and the maid of honor, Stephanie (Rachel’s sister). Rachel’s dad, Rich, walked the room and told nostalgic tales of Rachel’s childhood and how proud he is of the woman she has become. Zack’s dad, Mark, in similar fashion recounted his pride for Zack and outlined the qualities that make Rachel perfect for Zack. Noah spoke about his and Zack’s childhood, all the mischief that they got into, and his faith in Zack and Rachel’s relationship from the start (as a third wheel on most of their dates). Stephanie’s speech was comedic and heartwarming, she and Rachel don’t have the “typical” sister relationship but they made it work. After that the night was filled with more love, laughter, and dancing. It was the perfect night and the perfect wedding for Zack and Rachel.

            With love,
